My sweet little daughter is fast asleep, which means I can sit in front of my laptop and update my blog. I’m planning to update my blog twice a week, but haven’t chosen exact days yet. There’s so much I’m working on and can’t wait to share with you!
If you know me on a personal level, you must know my love for fruits and most recently juicing. For the first time in a long time I walked into Naivas Supermarket and bought a few household effects and fruits, previously I had a habit of going to Naivas solely to buy their delicious chocolate balls (craving one right now)… Safe to say I’m officially a grown up.
Last Friday after my morning workout I made some strawberry-apple juice and loved it, it was yummy and super refreshing, I just had to share the recipe with you.
Time: 5 minutes
Yield: Serves one.
~ 1 cup strawberry, tops removed.
~ 1 apple peeled and cored (I have a thing for green apples so I used green, but you can use red ones if you happen to have a sweet tooth)
~ 2 tablespoons honey (optional – for sweetening)
In a blender, add both the apples and strawberries plus 300ml of water. Blend until ingredients are fine, stir in honey then pulse, strain and serve.
Did you know that strawberries are the most highly concentrated antioxidant fruits, well, if you didn’t know, now you know. I hope you’ll try out this recipe! If you do, please take a photo of your juice, post it on instagram and tag me (@yvonneinbloom)
Thanks a lot for stopping by! Until next time!
